And Both Were Called Adam
There is only one place left that still discriminates against women. The Church.
Stunning, isn’t it?
There is much misunderstanding and misapplication of a couple of verses in the bible.
1 Tim 2:12 – and I do not permit a woman to teach or have authority over a man but is to remain in silence.
1 Cor 14:34 – Let the women keep silence in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak, but they are to be submissive as the law also says.
These two scriptures have caused quite the ruckus in the Church. We must go deeper. What did Apostle Paul mean when he wrote those two verses?
We must understand this first. Prov 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; the glory of man to search it out.
By remaining in the old nature and not putting on the mind of Christ and gleaning from Holy Spirit, much has been stolen from each individual Christian, and the corporate Body of Christ.
We are to link arms and not break rank; each being a joint supply. We join, and supply. Unless our supply is bound and now allowed to flow. Joel 2:7, Eph 4:16
Fortunately, there are fearless authors out there, male and female leaders in the Church that are hitting this issue head on.
Traci Carson is one such bold and courageous leader.
In her book, And Both Were Called Adam, (as taken from Gen 5:2), she brings the reader through the scriptures that layout Father’s plan and vision for His children. He made them both male and female.
I highly recommend this book to gain a clear understanding of Father’s plan for us.
We all have something to gain from reading and activating what we learn from, And Both Were Called Adam.
